right on cue
"Zyon McCollum is sidelined.
McCollum is not warming up for the Bucs. He’s standing around in sweatpants. It sure appears he won’t be practicing today."
Sure seems Morrison is just another DB like Dean, made of glass. Maybe the training staff should work on him some?
This stuff does NOT win games, but interesting in camp because of the stark contrast to the end of the year, particularly on the defensive side of the ball:
“He called me out in one-on-ones and wanted to go against me and lost,” Goedeke said of Bailey. “And then tried shoving me after that, and 52 [Kingsley Enagbare] I believe came from the side and just cheap-shotted me. That didn’t start practice warm and fuzzy, that’s for sure.”
"of the various skirmishes on the field today — maybe 8 or 10 in total — none seemed to involve Bain. . . . A’Shawn Robinson and Josiah Trotter. Those dudes are looking for trouble."
cant wait for the preseason games to start
I called it that the Bucs needed to sign a veteran CB because McCollum and Morrison are competing for who can be the next Myron Lewis.
With that said the Bucs may be cooking with Parrish, Scott, Pepe and Garnes as Bowles likes to call a lot of zones and these four are perfect for zone game play. But they need another boundary CB to team up with these four young CB players. If when McCollum and/or Morriosn decide to show up the Bucs have a stable CB room.
Bringing back Parodie is more of a future roster move to train him to be up to speed as a primary PS call up if I was to guess. For now Parodie will receive extra reps.
New depth chart is also out and there are no surprises to it.
What it comes down to is who will make a play or screw it up? Dennis may be a projected starter but does anyone believe he is starting over Trotter Jr and Rozeboom on opening day? Not likely. The flipside is that Sills is ahead of K. Johnson but K. Johnson is purely a ST player but he has a shot to unseat Sills if he impresses new ST coach Danny Smith.
So Morrison is practicing now and he will return to the field at some point but I think Scott, Garnes and Pepe have created enough distance where Morrison has been relegated to third or fourth best on the depth chart now.
In theory with the PS games Morrison can climb back in the competition against Parrish but that seems like Morrison would have to play lights out from now till the start of regular season.
Can’t go into the season with Chukwuma as the backup LT. He doesn’t belong in the league. This team has too much invested in the OTs and they’re too injury prone to go through this nonsense for a THIRD straight season. If they have to give up a 2027 pick for a swing tackle then do it.

Interested to watch it play out.
If Morrison was heathy and participating all along he is most likely one of the outside corners, certainly first off the bench if Parrish won the outside and McCollum was playing well. But you make a fair point.

Justin Skule is the swing Tackle.
Chuk is a project and is fine as a 4th tackle. But I really want to see how these interior OL look because the Bucs are once again one injury away along the interior OL from having issues again.

He’s looked decent through two drives going up against the Jets starters, mostly the second overall pick David Bailey.
Our Oline is a top 5 Oline overall. Any depth pieces are gravy at this point.
The rest of the NFCS have high quality OL too like the Bucs. If the Bucs are serious about having a competitive edge over the other NFCS OLs they need better interior OL depth. That is what is needed for the Bucs to reclaim the NFCS title. Better depth at iOL, CB and DL.

I know, right? When you really think about it critically and unbiased, what unit isn’t top 5 in the NFL?

Didn’t realize the founders of PFF were lifetime Buc’s fans. It’s weird…
