Hahaha of course you don't, knees, because it debunks 99.9% of the stupidity you post around here. So do stats. So does history. Just face it, you know football like a fish knows astrophysics.I don’t get too caught up in rankings. Neither Harbaugh would be in my top 10. That’s just people like Dan Patrick eating the cheese.
That said, I am sure Coen is a fine coach, but, coaching seems to favor those with a good QB.
So you think Harbaugh in LA, entering his third season as HC with Herbert, not doing a damn thing with that talent, after leaving Michigan amongst a cheating scandal, is a good coach?
So you think Harbaugh in NYG land, who had the most gifted QB of our lifetime under center for most of his time there, and couldn’t move the needle, is a good coach because, you know, tough guy culture, is a good coach??
Simple Simon.
Name the current HC’s that are better.
How about in their division we name the better coaches.
Jim Harbaugh is inferior to Reid, Peyton, and Kubiak
John Harbaugh is inferior to Shotty, Sirianni, and Quinn
None of this is something you should take personally.

John harbaugh is arguably best in that division but let’s give nod to Siranni. Other two, no way
in terms of reid, he may be best of all time but certainly top 5 all time. I’d agree that Jim harbaugh is 3rd to Peyton. Kubiak? Hasn’t coached yet so hard to rank him higher than a guy who made Super Bowl.

Without Kubiak they don’t win that Super Bowl. It’’s why he’s a head coach now. Let’s see how strong the Seahawks are without him.
Harbaugh brothers have always been overrated. If Jim was so good, why is he hiring McDaniel as his OC? Shouldn’t he be calling the plays?
While I wanted Bucs to get Kubiak and think he has potential, let’s not forget a few things
1. Seahawks had a top 10 defense as well
2. held patriots to 13 points
3. Darnold regressed in terms of numbers under Kubiak. Hell his numbers were worse than Bakers last year
4. One has to give Bowles credit for the Super Bowl win over chiefs. Defense dominated. Didn’t exactly translate to head coach now did it?
5. so he hires a premier offensive mind while Bowles over here with a defense that gets progressively worse each year and still didn’t hire a defense coordinator. Which would you prefer you favorite team to do?
6. John, Jim, or Bowles? Have to pick 1 to be your head coach of the Bucs. Who do you pick?
Bowles is just average. Is this even in question?
Both Harbaughs are better than average. Quinn has regressed to being an average coach like Bowles.
Right now the top coaches in the NFC are also the top NFC teams. Siranni is the weakest HC of the top NFC teams (McVay, Shanahan, Mac) but he actually has SB title under his belt despite not being a very good HC. Looking beyond the top NFC teams and top NFC coaches look at the rest.
Coaches like Canales have a strong coordinator to help them like Evero. O'Connel still has Flores. Campbell had Ben Johnson but Ben is now the Bears HC. LaFleur has Gannon as his DC. Harbaugh has Nagy and Wilson as his coordinators. Quinn is overrated and has come back down to earth and has no coordinator help. At least Matt Lafleur has Hackett as his OC. Moore has Staley as his DC.
Bucs do not have a strong HC and they do not have a strong coordinator. That means to compete they need to have superior talent. Licht needs to accept this. Also some fans need to face this reality.
Ronde Barber said the film vs Jacksonville wasn’t bad. SR walked back the narrative that the Jags dominated.
Baker Mayfield was not happy with Tampa Bay’s physicality on Day 1. He essentially gave Jacksonville the edge, saying the Jaguars were the more physical team and were “playing with their hair on fire.” He added that if the practice had been a real game, he didn’t think Tampa would have won.
Chris Godwin Jr. also wasn't satisfied with Tampa's performance. He reportedly told the team it needed to “pull our heads out of our asses” after Tuesday's practice. It looks like Bucs at least bounced back on day 2 but yeah apparently it was pretty ugly on day 1 at least according to our captains.
Bucs lost the day. Fine. But putting a picture up of Liam Coen and say “Bucs get eaten alive by Jags” is being pro-Coen to the point where they were anti Bucs. It wasn’t even true.
if you put 1/2 the effort you put into creating fake "I am the only one who knew Coen was a fraud" controversies into actual Buc reality then your posts might almost be interesting
If Coen called anything but a jet sweep, the game in Philly the next week would have been interesting.
bad play call, worse execution by Baker.
Yes, that play basically ended the season
but...you going to sit here and deny that Coen/Baker combo wasn't some of the most encouraging/exciting Buccaneer football outside of 2020/2021 Tom Brady we've seen since 2002?
The offense imploding at the end of the Washington game was no surprise though. They imploded at the end of the Lions game. They imploded at the end of the Falcons game. They had two turnovers in the 4th qtr of the Cowboys game, a game they should have had 200 yards rushing but Coen’s game plan was 75% pass vs a bottom 3 run defense.
JC - Coen is a very good coach. When else have the Bucs had a top 5 offense? And Coen went to Jacksonville and won 13 games. He’ll probably win double digit this year. You can nitpick whatever you want, but he’s a X’s and 0’s guy that knows how to attack all defenses. The only way the Coen focus goes away is when we our Bucs offense can get it going again.

They were 2nd in yards and points 3 years earlier with some of the same players. Again, Coen is a great schemer but he’s shit the bed in the wild card round 2 years in a row.

are you talking about when they had the greatest QB of all time? One of the best Tight ends of all time. Two hall of fame caliber WRs.
Coen did not have Brady, Gronk, AB, Fournette, Godwin (dude was looking best of all time before his injury mid year), Marpet, Jensen, etc.
You have got to be kidding me.
Jaguars won 13 games last year. They were coming off a 4-13 season. I'd say that was pretty good progress for year 1
and spoiler alert - they wont win 13 games again this season, but who knows. Lawrence came on strong there at the end of the season.

You’re forgetting someone.
You know we're almost to the regular season, when Todd's biggest cock holster starts to chime in.
Good times.

he didn’t shit the bed in the Bucs wild card game. Sorry that boys couldn’t execute the jet hand off. It wasn’t a bad call. The defense couldn’t get off the field in the wild card game. And anyway, so many great coaches have shit the bed in the playoffs. It’s part of learning thru experience. He’s been an OC for a year and his offense carried the team, and a HC for a year and he went 13-4. That’s a pretty good first two years. We’ll see where it goes from here.
Playoffs is all about defense because most playoff teams can score and it rare that a below average scoring offense is in the playoffs. If you can't force one punt you do not deserve to advance.
If you can't force one punt you do not deserve to advance.
I think you're sort of repeating a general rule, but not describing the ACTUAL game.
The Commanders enter the game with an HISTORIC 4th down conversion rate (89%), largely because of their mobile QB, so there is almost no way they are punting unless pushed way back. And the Bucs defense had two stops, one being a goal line stand. They held the Commanders to probably a 60% 4th down conversion rate, again versus 89% for the season.
I dont know if you went to the game itself, but the loss was more on the offense and that view would be back up by almost every statistic AND most pivotal plays (fumble, FG late due to botched plays) being Bucs offense failures.
For example, I already mentioned the 4th down conversion but here are a couple more:
1. The Commanders defense surrendered 25 point per game on average. The Bucs offense averaged 29 points per game. The 29ppg Bucs offense could only muster 20 points against the 25 ppg Commanders defense.
2. The offense chokes it up EALRY AND LATE and thats really down to young players and nerves. Just look at McMillan. He was on a tear at the end of the season, averaging probably 5 reception for 60 yards and a TD per game. In the playoff game, he dropped the critical first down throw early, he had only 2 receptions and no TDs and of course fumbled the jet sweep.
3. During the season the Bucs offense was also the #1 scoring offense in 1st quarter. They often won games by getting up early and by being able to run late. In the playoff game 1st quarter, they only got a field goal because of back to back misses to McMillan, one being a drop. The Defense then got a stop on DOWNS. The Bucs offense responded with. . . a punt. They punted after running for 0 and running for 2 AGAINST THE 2ND WORST RUN DEFENSE IN THE LEAGUE
4. The offense fumbles the ball in tight and then choke down close and underperform their scoring average - AGAINST ONEOF THE WORST DEFENSE IN THE LEAGUE - by almost 10 points.
So, I get the defense is the weak part of the Bucs team going into that game and I get the long drives/TOP argument, but in the game itself it is the Bucs OFFENSE that falls almost completely flat and against a VERY WEAK defense. Just compare it to the Commander-Lions the next week and you will see everything reverse, a better Lions defense gets destroyed and a weaker Lions offense scores MORE against the Commanders
