its the HC responsibility if it does not get fixed, but what was the "fix"to get Vildor you to his basic, routine job on 3rd and 28 or whatever it was against the Falcons? Or to get Nick Jackson to be a basic NFL linebacker as rookie UFA
My point is that HCs get credit and blame for player execution, it doesn't mean they deserve it either way. Some of it is talent or lack of talent. some of that is depth or lack of depth

Vildor found a new home with the defending AFC champs. They saw his film and saw what they liked about him so what did the Bucs do wrong it seems is not coaching up Vildor. Just because a player is a veteran does not mean they should receive coaching. Right now the Bucs are looking at a secondary that has LESS experience than Vildor. We are more likely to see more 3rd and 28s under these young guys than that one time with Vildor.
Your argument about talent doesn't work with me because if Vildor is good enough for the defending AFC champs he should have been good enough for the Bucs who are starved for CB talent.

Its a ROUTINE defense and the offensive play is predictable too, especially under the circumstances. Thats NOT coaching for a SIX YEAR player. That is EXECUTION. The kind of execution that sees the player on his 5th team in 6 years

Bowles is responsible for the soft walkthroughs and lack of preparation. The game begins to be won there first. They weren't even doing that so how could they win? Right Britt and Vildor would be upgrades as depth on this roster so again you are all about Bowles needing talent but the Bucs depleted themselves with talent and then you can't turn around and complain about a lack of talent. That is not how it works.
This is what Schiano did by depleting the depth the team built up and he cratered the depth and then the horrific Revis trade.

When Britt was here he was so bad he started splitting time with SVD. On the current roster SVD is depth with Rosenbom and Trotter. That alone is better depth?
Even at CB where we are low presently youve got Scott Parrish McCollum and Morrison before you get to Chase Lucas (Vildor of 2026) and Hayes who was in and out as a starter a while back
when I say the defense lacks TALENT I mean 2025 LVD and SVD were BARELY an NFL level ILB squad. Thats why they got picked on all season.
Lucas is starting off on PUP now and the CB depth is now questionable and full of unproven players (eg McCollu, Parrish, Morrison, Scott, etc).
Also Britt was a spot starter rotating with White and eventually took over for White with Russsell. The team decided to move on thinking they upgraded a year later but the last two seasons showed they downgraded by moving on from Britt and Russell.
Even right now Britt has more experience than Dennis, Jackson and Bullock and is an ace special teams player so yeah he is better depth.

Agreed, I was saying my comments about TALENT on the Bucs-- you attacked my comments about talent - was focused on starters versus league starters ie LVD was almost the worst ILB in the league. You dont win a lot with that level of talent dominating the snaps, no matter who you have sitting behind him.
Anyway, Maybe they should bring Britt back! Vildor might have a great season this season with the Patriots, but five teams over six years happens for a reason. Teams generally find ways to KEEP performing talent.
