While I am not sure there has ever been a more accomplished WR room than Evans, Godwin, Brown etc. I think this year's WR room could potentially have more yards.Â
Reggie Wayne, Marvin Harrison, and I think his name was Brandon Stokely had the most productive year with Manning and the Colts and I am not sure that can be duplicated but, when you know with near certainty that if healthy, Godwin and Egbuka will have north of 1000 yards each and you see that same potential in McMillan, add the sure hands of Tez and rookie Ted, this could be a very special group. Â
It's tough for the slot receiver to be the lead receiver for a team, happens about 15% of the time. But I think Godwin has slightly more yards than Egbuka, who has slightly more yards than McMillan.Â
Godwin - 1200 - 11
Egbuka - 1130 - 14
McMillan - 950 - 8
Tez/Ted - 820 - 6
Also, and I wish analysts would adopt this when making statements about WR rooms. The TEs and the RBs are not now, nor will they ever be part of the WR room. I am not sure why this often gets conflated when doing an analysis of WR rooms in the NFL.Â

I think Zac will look at where Baker has succeeded and adjust his game accordingly. Gainwell is the x factor to me. If he shows up and is on par with peak Bucky, we will be super tough to get off the field. He had 500 yards receiving last year and a few TDs. For reference Bucky had 400 yards in 2024 when he was healthy. I really like the idea of two similar backs in an offense that is predicated on quick hits, to really mess with opposing defenses. Gut tells me Godwin will have a career year. Â

In 2024 the offensive line is elite and healthy. The Bucs most used combo was Wirfs, Bredeson, Barton (center), Mauch and Goedeke.
In 2025 the offensive line is injured and suspect. Their most used combo for the season was Wirfs, Jordan, Barton, Feeney and Goedeke. Wirfs mostly on a bum knee, Barton playing tackle. Goedeke with a horrific string of penalities.
If you try to translate that to impact on Mayfield, he actually threw fewer INTs and had less fumbles than 2024 so he took care of the ball okay, but the offense went way down in scoring at almost a TD per game. His RUNNING also became more essential to the offense's limited success (less runs for more yards and more 1st downs than 2024). Even with his uptick in running, the Bucs offense still went from probably 50 punts on the season (2024) to north of 60 in 2025 so at least one more punt per game. FG attempts up, TDs down.
You can alos obviously see it in the run game whether is RYA 4.1 in 2025 versus 5.2 (near top of league) in 2024 or in the awful failures in short yardage or in the BIG drop in Red Zone TD scoring. The latter two not common IF the line is physically dominant.
