The offense carried a defense that could not slam the door for years. The offense is no longer good so a defense that can't slam the door is more obvious now that it is not good.
Kancey is worse than Gerald McCoy in the 4th quarter of games.
Bucs veterans on defense just can not finish. It is taking rookie defenders and Walker to carry this defense at this point with Parrish. Over the course of the season the rookies and 2nd year defenders will ascend but until then the losses will mount because the veteran defenders are not slamming the door.

Bucs on Offense: Build on Dallas, Establish the Run Early
FAIL
Get a few stops on third down. Force a couple of Rodgers impatience throws. Convert the turnovers when they come. That is the formula.
SUCCESS, mostly
5 sacks, lots of 3rd down stops. Held Steeler to 3 points for 3 quarters. Offense didn't really convert the turnovers to points, only 3 off the interception.

Steelers on Offense: Rodgers Gets Hot and Warren Explodes Again
MIXED. Rogers got hot late. Warren mostly kept in check
If the Steelers can slow Bucky Irving, force Daniels to win the game through the air, and get Watt in the backfield early, the Buccaneers' offense is going to have a very difficult afternoon.
STEELERS MOSTLY SUCCEEDED. Watt held in check but slowed Irving and Daniels could NOT win the game through the air WHEN IT MATTERED.
******
In all game played out much as probably most expected. The defense actually played well much of the game but the offense could do very little with a UFA rookie QB, especially when he started to make terrible turnovers. The Bucs offense barely ran 3:00 of the the 4th quarter clock and turned the ball over TWICE in Bucs territory. The defense responded to the TWO Daniels interceptions by holding the Steelers to FGs, even one that gave the Steelers the ball at the Bucs 3.

Kancey is worse than Gerald McCoy is every quarter of every game. Yet he still plays 70% of the snaps.
David Walker, who produces a good percentage of the time when he's on the field, is only getting 35% of the defensive snaps. But he does play 64% of Special Teams snaps, so he's got that going for him.
David Walker should go inside?
Did some coach say that?

He's not able to cover Brock Bowers down the seam yet, so we'll have to slow-walk his playing time.
“Bucs' David Walker has four sacks this season despite playing only 99 defensive snaps in six games.
There are 17 NFL players with 4+ sacks this season -- the average defensive snaps in that group is 263. Walker is the lowest; only one close is Browns' Mason Graham (138).”

He's gotta get some oxygen while the defense is on the field, as Walker is busy covering on kickoffs.
Just mind-numbingly stupid stuff from the defensive coaching staff.
