I want the Bucs to win. Even those who say they don't will be the first ones crying on this board when the Bucs lose.
But it's a good question if the Bucs will ever get out of the middle of the pack. How long can we go 9-8 or 8-9? How long can we tolerate it? What do the Bucs do if they are tired of it? They need to surpass that this year or you have to ask the question of what are we doing here? I hope they win this year, but I don't consider 9-8 winning even if mathematically it is. If they can't break out of that middle of the pack, then IMO enough is enough.

Seahawks and Rams do have better coaching. Eagles not convinced as they cycle through coaches while their talent drain is starting impact their ability to compete.
The Eagles, Rams and Seahawks are either on the verge of a Super Bowl or just own a Super Bowl.
The Bucs are trying to the the best they can running on a BUDGET. They through that budget out the window in 2020, 2021, so they know ho to ignore the budget BUT they are not soind tjhta now.
I realize that but the flipside is the Bucs are not far off and don't have to go crazy like the Rams with the cap to compete with these NFC contenders. Bucs last season had no problem competing with top NFC teams and that is with lesser talent, coaching and injuries. Bottom line is Licht has to decide what he wants to do but his passive bystander attitude and being timid toward trades is hurting him as a GM.
Because in addition to many of the players listed with short contracts the same is true with Godwin and Mayfield. The only long term contracts in the top ten for the Bucs aka 3 years are Wirfs and Goedeke so Licht needs to decide what this team is supposed to be instead of temu budget of the rest of the NFC teams.
