this is telling...like i suggested before...he is concerned with life after football and building a brand.
...and getting another ring...2x Super Champion would like pretty nice on his HOF resume'.

Evans is getting in HoF already.
Evans speaks
"Playing for the 49ers “just made the most sense, man,” Evans said, adding that another reason he signed with San Francisco “is to help me get where I want to go post-career.”

Yes and so going to an historic team with a huge market and a better chance at post-season play (Super Bowl etc) and all the exposure that comes with it makes total sense. More power to him.
He also seemed to take the marketplace feedback personally and so wants to prove people wrong. There was a report that someone in his camp floated a $20 million-ish offer that never obviously materialized so maybe he has an extra chip on his shoulder and will go out and kill it for a year or two to prove everyone wrong. That would be great. And really help his brand.
Biggest thing the Bucs will miss, especially in the RZ
"Brock Purdy says that he's watched tape of Tom Brady and Baker Mayfield and how they took advantage of Mike Evans' size and contested catch ability. "As a quarterback, you dream of those kinds of situations. ... With his size, it's different."

yeah for sure.
the Mike Evans impact?
For the sake of the team (injuries), Egbuka was tethered to the line of scrimmage and forced to win one-on-ones. He had 529 routes last season, but he was in motion at the snap on only 29 of them.
That will not happen again in 2026. Robinson, who coached under Sean McVay (and worked with Kupp in Los Angeles), excels at getting his receivers free releases and easy routes by snapping the ball with them in motion. Tutu Atwell holds the NFL Next Gen Stats record with the most routes in motion in a season with 120 in 2023, but 2024 Cooper Kupp is right behind him with 114, and 2024 Darnell Mooney — in Robinson’s first year as the offensive coordinator of the Falcons — had 97.
