Tampa just needed health last season and there would have been a different outcome.

Tampa beat the Superbowl winning Seattle Seahawks without Mike Evans, Bucky Irving, Jamel Deal, etc.. Your feminine injury excuses are just that.

Right now 49ers are closer and that's as simple as it is.

A team we beat, with a ton of injuries, is closer than us right now.  Got it.

The Buccaneers beat the Seattle Seahawks last season. They hoisted the Lombardi at the end of the season.

You just made my point for me here. Look at the year we won it in 2020.  We were absolutely used in the first half vs. the Chiefs in the regular season. Then we made a game of it in the second half and never let up in the Super Bowl.  Tampa just needed health last season and there would have been a different outcome.

The Chiefs just needed health in the Super Bowl (backups on their OL destroyed their chances) and there would have been a different outcome.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda, any team can play that game.

Solid retort Biggs, I’d read it again.  Can you come up with anything of substance to contribute to this forum outside of ad hominem, hide behind the keyboard tough guy, nonsense?

We beat the Seahawks, we beat the Niners.  Yet somehow you continue to beat yourself.  Bravo.

Is this where I say "debate your mom" as a substantive retort?

What week do they do the “participation trophy presentation” at halftime for beating the Seahawks and 49’ers last season?

Should be when we host the Panthers, who actually won the division.

So you honestly think injuries don't matter?  It's where I am left to speculate whether or not you have ever played organized sports that involve contact.  In football, at any level, injuries matter.  Period.  When I hear next man up, I feel like everyone in the surrounding area is getting dumber.

maybe I am missing something but aren't you kind of undercutting "injuries are no excuse" thing because people DO attribute the Bucs defensive success in that game to injuries on the Chief's O line.

posters active in this discussion. lol

the entire point is that injuries do matter and it's intellectually dishonest ("a Biggs Special") to take both positions (Chiefs o-line mattered then Bucs injuries matter not in 2025

Basic trolling here fails logic

Evans is the goat, but his absence due to injury was meaningless?

Wirf a sure fire HOFer but his absence or injured state.... meaningless.

The hyper Insecure Bowles Derangement (no excuses) leads people to take the most absurd positions.

Never said that.

But, did we or did we not get healthier down the stretch?

And, spare me the “never played physical sports” line, kiddo.

It’s comical coming from a dude who wears Umbros as a badge of honor.

The 8-9, Second Place NFCS Tampa Bay Buccaneers had 27 players miss games in 2025.

Some teams need excuses, other teams do not.

Last year the team was not healthy but it's not a great excuse for the team for their overall season. They had themselves in a fantastic position despite the injuries and we saw some poor execution and coaching the last portion of the season where we really just needed a tad better in both to get to the playoffs. Last season was inexcusable. Bowles should have been fired but he wasn't because dumbass glazers and arians/Licht are best friends with bowles and extended him prematurally. The positive is we have some game breakers on both sides of the ball that can make the predictable nature of the team not as predictable but if we have to depend on some coaching which eventually you do that is the predictable nature that people doubt about this team and is a very valid complaint. Injuries matter yes but it was not the biggest reason why this team failed last year.

Bucs depth helped the Bucs win games in early 2025 and the double dip at WR and CB from the 2025 draft was a nice feather in Licht's cap.  If only Licht applied that logic to guard this team may have won more games in 2025 but there are only so many draft resources and picks in a given year.

But what has Licht done so injuries do not wreck the team at guard again for 2026?  At least he drafted Schrauth but is that enough?  I guess we will see but then again maybe Licht feels this way when Hainsey had to step in for a bit too.  So Schrauth may see action sooner or later and succeed.

I watched 2025 and while injuries did slow down the team it was the play of starters and Bowles approach that pissed me off more than anything else.  That is why how Licht and Bowles have conducted this off season still has me seeing red because the starters think it was just a blip on the radar.   But to me what was revealed was a fatal flaw and Evans himself saw it if I was to speculate and bolted.

It is easy to blame Bowles but the other aspect is some of these starters need to step it up.  I am confident that Wirfs and Goedeke will improve as well as Mauch working back from injuries.  But Diaby,Barton, Kancey, McCollum, Winfield Jr, etc they really, really need to step it up and show that they belong as not just average starters but rising valued starters in this league.

We will see what young guys like Parrish, Morrison, T. smith, Egbuka, McMillan, T. Johnson can do as well.  And if the rookies show home run potential like Scott, Hurst and Bain that would be welcomed.

I do not want to see the 2025 teamed return because it was fatally flawed.  I want to see the 2026 team rise and be better than that.  Being healthy again does not make this team better if their ceiling is the 8 win team from a year ago.

I mean this is a pretty cherry picked stat... I'd imagine losing a gunner isn't the same as losing a starting RT.

Week 1 starters missing games is obviously a better metric.

And Baker played all year despite clearly being hurt back half... How does something like that get measured?
