apparently the Knees thinks we already have a top 5 WR core so there's that!

Only a football idiot would see a WR room with Godwin, McMillan, Egbuka, Tez, and Hurst and think...."we are somewhere in the 15-20 range as a WR room.".  If you think this core is outside the top 5 please share with me who is better 1-5.

but him playing like Hellen Keller against shit teams post Rams injury didn't do anyone any good

I am not defending Baker's insistence on playing.  He shouldn't have.  That's what backups are for.

how many targets are 4th and 5th options getting per game?

Tez will be off the team in about a year, i.e. Scotty Miller, Tyler Johnson, Trey Palmer ring a bell

We have no idea what we got in Hurst yet.

Godwin hasn't played more than half a season since 2023.

McMillan had injury plagued career so far.  Don't forget hamstring issues during his rookie year

Edbuka showed promise but disappeared last year despite similar level of targets

the WR room certainly has potential for sure but top 5 and you are being a homer

Here are a few non biased articles and Bucs are nowhere in top 10

Ranking the NFL's Best WR Groups after A.J. Brown Trade

Ranking the 10 Best Wide Receiver Groups in the NFL

Ranking WR, TE, RB groups for 2026: Best and worst NFL teams - ESPN

do the Bucs even have a WR in the top 20?

top 15 is fair for them and that is assuming they are healthy

They can enter top 10 territory if two of the guys surpass 1,000 yards.

Yawn.  Tez has way too good of hands to be out of the league anytime soon.  One through five.  That is how a WR room is ranked.  Not one or two players, but all 5.  Inarguably, we have a top 5 WR room today.

but Bucs were 6-2 when they were most injured

That's the part of the season that doesn't count .. when Mayfield was MVP candidate

That is how a WR room is ranked.  Not one or two players, but all 5.

Great.

So, you should have ZERO problem with providing us multiple rankings lists.

Look forward to seeing them.

Amazing how committed people are to an obvious falsity:

"injuries don't matter"

The Bowles (and Mayfield) hate is real!

How about we share as the season goes along.  We can go back to this topic after every damn game.  You have a long season of hate watching in front of you.  Enjoy!

You can always tell when someone doesn't really understand the game when they are on the side of "Injuries don't matter".  Okay Fontleroy, go play Dungeons and Dragons...

You have a long season of hate watching in front of you.

Comical, coming from the poster who took a multi-year sabbatical because Licht ditched the QB who couldn’t grasp the concept of “No means no” in favor of the GOAT.

Rough period for you, and I’m not referring to your monthly one.

Ben Bredesen went down and if we are suggesting that our worst offensive lineman going down was the difference, then i gotta question why Licht didn't bulk up that position more this offseason.  We spent, what a 5th round pick, on a guy as depth.  Here's hopping he can be the next Hainsey/Stinne type reserve player.

You know what is worse?  Mayfield was beat up because of poor guard play to finish the season and they didn't really seriously consider upgrading at guard to protect Mayfield in a contract year.  We pray that Schrauth can make an impact quickly.

The franchise needs to know if Mayfield is worth investing further with a higher dollar amount and not be playing a what if injuries guessing game.

And then watch us swerve into the coaching conversation: offensive coaching that ended with the-not-ready-for-prime-time Grizz getting exposed, as not ready. There were many factors a play last season, of which poor coaching on offense, and bad talent, depending on stars like that faded quickly.

Poor coaching in both sides of the ball made Bowles rely on his defense, and made Grizz take chances and decide decide to use his one weapon WR as a decoy, late in thin season.

Right but Bucs had a ton of injuries at key positions. Not sure why that should be ignored.

Three offensive lineman, top 2 wrs, starting DT, starting corner(s), etc.

I'm not making excuses for Bowles because the collapse was against teams that were worse than us even with the injuries.

But the flat injury statistic isn't super compelling for me

I understand you aren't making excuses for Bowles, but others are.

The 1-4 collapse to shitty teams at the end of the season happened with all of Wirfs, Goedeke, Evans, Godwin, Irving, Dean, etc. all playing the majority of those games.

The beginning of the year was when there was a legit injury excuse, with Wifs, Goedeke, Evans, Godwin, & Irving missed large chunks of games. They were 6-2 with those guys missing a pretty big chunk of games. The team's best wins last season were against Seattle & SF:

Seattle Outs: Jamel Dean, Mike Evans, Luke Goedeke, Bucky Irving, Benjamin Morrison, & Christien Izien - WIN

SF Outs: Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Luke Goedeke, Bucky Irving, Zyon McCollum, & Benjamin Morrison - WIN

The injury narrative is an excuse.

Good point
